The opening of new offices for American Trucking Associations in Alexandria, Virginia, is recorded in the Jan. 28, 1985 edition of Transport Topics with a ribbon cutting featuring ATA President Thomas J. Donohue, Gov. Charles Robb and DOT Deputy Secretary James Burnley IV.

ATA has since relocated to Arlington, Virginia, and the 8-story glass and concrete building in Alexandria has been torn down to make way for a new residential/office development.
