LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Dana Holding Corp. introduced several new products, including lighter weight steer axles and new tandem axles designed to match higher torque output from engines that run at slower revolutions per minute to save fuel.

Pat D’Eramo, president of Dana Commercial Vehicle Driveline Technologies, said the company is developing tire pressure systems for linehaul tractors and has expanded its line of replacement parts for all makes and models of vehicles in the heavy-duty market.

D’Eramo also said the company will open a technical center in Austin, Texas, after recently opening technical centers in China and India this past year.

Dana supplies driveline components, sealing products and thermal-management systems to original equipment manufacturers worldwide. The company generated 44% of its $6.8 billion in annual sales in North America.
