American Trucking Associations named Boyd Stephenson, who previously was its director of commercial driver licensing, to the new post of vice president of supply chain security and operations.

In his new position, Stephenson will be the federation’s primary subject expert on security, including hazardous material and cross-border issues, an ATA statement said.

“Boyd has demonstrated tremendous knowledge about important security and related issues involving the trucking industry, so I’m pleased to be able to announce his promotion to this expanded role,” ATA Executive Vice President Dave Osiecki said. “Cross-border issues, security and hazardous materials transportation are all critical subjects for our members.”

“I have greatly enjoyed my time at ATA and helping to move this tremendous industry forward,” said Stephenson, who has worked at ATA for eight years. “I look forward to continuing to do that in this new capacity.”
